The Miami-Dade Advocacy Institute is a partnership between The Early Learning Coalition of Miami-Dade/Monroe, The Children’s Trust, and United Way of Miami Dade. The Institute provides hands-on training services designed to educate give skills in regards to the role that government plays in development and health of children. They provide parents and guardians the opportunity to educate themselves so that they can best advocate for the health of their children.
At the core of the program, is the desire to create awareness and an urge in other people to advocate for the health and well-being of children. Hands-on training programs are provided, which by the end of the program allows people to communicate effectively with legislators and advocacy groups, the reasons for the importance of improved child welfare programs.
